Tips for a Successful House Call
To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for both you and your pet, here are some helpful tips:
- When you schedule the appointment, please let us know the number of pets we will be seeing and their needs. Inform the doctor/staff of any aggressive, fractious, or fearful pets.
- Please keep distractions to a minimum including a tv playing in the background, children, or other pets. This helps create a calmer environment for the pet being examined.
- If the patient is a cat, make sure the cat is confined to a small room such as a bathroom, or in a carrier prior to our arrival. If the patient is a dog, please have their leash handy in case it is needed during their exam.
- Please have an area prepared with enough space and light for the exam.
